Scholarly publishing and open access

Free, online access to scientific publications lies at the heart of the open access movement. The web enables a broad dissemination of scientific knowledge as well as innovation in the publication process.

The University Library provides UGent researchers with information and training on open forms of scholarly publishing, and digital platforms to make their research publications publicly available and reusable. In this way, the library contributes to new publishing models and formats.
