Research Data Management
Research Data Management (RDM) encapsulates everything that is required to make and keep research data secure and easy to find, understand and (re)use. It involves activities such as organising, documenting, storing, sharing and publishing research data.
Research data are a valuable form of scientific output. They are the evidence needed to validate scientific findings. Moreover, high-quality datasets can be reused to answer new research questions, and for educational or other purposes.
The University Library offers training, advice, information and tools to help UGent researchers manage their research data before, during and after research.
