From collection to podcast: the Boekentoren and Buck FM bring Ghent's stories to life
The Boekentoren and podcast Buck FM are delving into Ghent's history together. Using 5 fascinating themes inspired by the library's collection, captivating and sometimes forgotten stories from and about the city are brought to life in a series of mini-documentaries. It's an accessible way to showcase the richness of the (heritage) collection and to spark further research.
The collaboration runs over a full year, with each podcast episode focusing on a different subject. Every mini-documentary always starts from the Boekentoren's rich, tangible collection, with the Vliegende Bladen collection as its common thread, and addresses one specific theme.

Several guests join each of Buck FM's live recordings. On the one hand, the curator of special collections, who introduces the podcast's theme using historical pieces and thereby opens the door to the collection. On the other hand, there are rotating guests, who either tie in with the theme or discuss an entirely different subject.
