Fresh from the garden - Huygens Museum
The Huygens Museum in Voorburg, together with Ghent University, presents a new exhibition on the history of Dutch court poetry. The unique historical garden designed by Constantijn Huygens himself inspired him to write one of the most famous poems in Dutch literature, in which he reflects on the relationship between man, garden and nature. 400 years later, Juul Hondius photographs that same garden from the perspective of the climate debate. The exhibition bridges the historical distance and raises the question: what is nature worth to us?
Several works are on loan to the Huygens Museum.
